If there's one thing Europe's top players are used to, it's travel.
Sure, they get to lark around in the finest transport wearing their oversized designer headphones, but those journeys can still take their toll. Longer hauls equal grumpier players, which in turn makes for an even grumpier manager.
So we did the maths, and made it look pretty. Measuring each team's initial journey from their capital city, and plonking that together with each of their journeys around the group stage, we've calculated which squads will spend the least time on planes and more playing table tennis in a hotel. Or something.
The funniest thing? France don't even have the shortest travel distance. Or even the second-shortest.
